Hi Geoff: Just back from moving the boat 1700 nm in the med! We are so pleased with the Gori props!!! They were out performing the standard numbers under power and sail! We were seeing 8 knots with both engines at 1700rpm Calm water and sailing was awesome! Always a knot or so faster than the polars!

Jeanneau 42DS Deliveries:
Atlantic crossings ... Fortunately I have Gori propeller on-board. With low wind (below 5 knots true) I can reach 6.5 knots under power and sail in the overdrive function.
With this alternative the fuel consumption is 1.8 liters/hour with the Yanmar 54 HP and without the Gori it will be impossible to have enough diesel to cover these large distances.
The next boats must have Gori propellers as the propeller price is diluted just in the first trip

Beneteau 50
You may remeber, you sent me a prop for my Beneteau 50. Well, we finally put it in the water yesterday, and I took it 6 miles down river to my own dock space. The air was dead calm, and (except for the cold) it was an ideal day to try out the prop. At 4000 rpm I got 12.8kts (GPS) downstream and 7.8 upstream, which I recon gave me a true, still water speed of 10.4kts. I was pleased to find that it does about 2/3 ~ 3/4 of that speed in the 1500-2000 rpm range, where the Perkins ticks over seemingly effortlessly.
The marina where I dock has lines of 60' slips, all with boats over 50'. I found the best way to get myself in, is by backing down the alley and into the slip and then using the bow thruster to align the bow with the slip. I found this to be easier and more controllable than with the old prop, and I needed the bow thrusters less. I had the help of a friend, but I could easily have done this alone.

Catalina 270
For the last five years my boat, a Catalina 270, has struggled to get through the water under power, especially against a tide or current. After talking with Geoff at AB-Marine, he suggested a Gori folding propeller. I installed it in the spring and it has made an amazing difference. The speed has increased with less rpm's, the boat is much more maneuverable and responsive in forward and reverse and I have no trouble making my way through an oncoming current. The new prop has been the best upgrade I have made yet.

Seawind Catamarans
I've been delivering Seawind Catamarans since 1998 and have sailed over 150,000 nautical miles during that time.
Gori 3-blade folding propellers were trialled on the Seawind 1160 and the results were amazing with increases in fuel range and motor propelled speeds and in the Gori's folded position when sailing we achieved an extra knot of boat speed over the 3-blade fixed propeller trials. That's 24 miles a day extra when cruising, or a day or so off your passage on longer trips with more time to enjoy your destination, and less time in transit.

Under power the Gori propeller gives us more than enough power for maneuvering in close quarters and while berthing and in overdrive mode which easily achieved by opening the Gori propeller in reverse prior to shifting to forward. We can motor at 2400 RPM and achieve 5 to 6 knots in flat water with only one engine. That equates to Sydney to the Whitsunday's on 360 liters, which is 1000 miles in distance. No other engine and propeller combination that I've driven comes even close to that.

I had recent correspondence with Geoff regarding the performance of my 2-blade folding Gori prop. I was not getting the revs I had been getting with my previous 3-blade fixed prop and I felt I was over propped. Geoff assured me that the prop you folks had spec'd was the correct one. So I began to look elsewhere for my problem. I just finished a short sea trial after changing the mixing elbow and the performance was near perfect. It revved to 3600 with no smoking, easily reaching hull speed at 80% of WOT.

Please extend to Geoff my thanks for spending the time to recheck the requirements for my boat. He reassured me to the point where I looked at other potential causes. I saved the expense of switching props which would not have solved my problem.

Beneteau 323
The Gori 3-Blade propeller has proven invaluable. Our boat's prop-walk-to-port drove us into neighboring boats until we changed to your 3-blade folding propeller. Now we can easily and safely power in reverse to starboard.
Another pleasant surprise was the forward power that a combination of our little 18hp engine and the Gori 3-blade
over-drive function provides as they lift our 32ft sailboat's bow to surge across the bay.

Since it came from the factory six years ago our 46 foot sailboat had a fixed three bladed (speed brake). In a quest for more efficient sailing speeds we recently purchased and installed a Gori 3-blade Folding prop. To our delight our new Gori prop has increased our sailing performance one to two knots and we have also gained over a knot while under power.

Soon we will leave San Francisco Bay and begin our cruise to the south and on through the Panama Canal to the Caribbean. With our new Gori prop we will arrive at the fun anchorages even sooner.

Geoff, I haven't had a chance to speak with you since seeing you at the Annapolis Show. Just want you to know that the 3-blade Gori prop is fantastic!
I consistently get at least a 1/2 knot improved performance over my old 2-blade folding prop and the boat doesn't bog down in head winds & seas.
Thanks for steering me to this product, it is worth every cent. Sorry I haven't had a chance to run flat water RPM sea-trials for you, been too busy racing and doing deliveries to regattas.

My wife and I went out for another sea trial today with our new Gori prop and this time we were able to successfully select between standard and overdrive modes. The Beta Marine 90, which is rated at 2,600 RPM, was able to reach 2,400 RPM in the normal mode while making hull speed with no discernible vibration. In the overdrive mode, we make 7 knots at 1,500 RPM which should extend our cruising range significantly.

Geoff - performance of my new Gori 3-blade prop is simply awesome! Boat goes faster, both powering and sailing, and is much more maneuverable in tight spots since the prop really "grabs" the water. But the best part is that all the teeth-rattling vibration that I had at certain rpm's is totally gone! You may refer any potential customers to me for a testimonial.
