Nomex Cored 62′ Café Racer

ChessieRacing

All Carbon, Nomex Cored 62′ Café Racer. She was designed by Bill Tripp and built by New England Boatworks in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. ChessieRacing is built with light-weight carbon fiber for racing, but she also has features not usually found on a race boat such as a teak deck and a finished interior for comfortable cruising.

ChessieRacing comes equipped with a Gori 3-blade propeller from AB Marine.
The Gori 3-blade was selected over the Gori Race propeller due to its two(2) forward pitches. It’s a greater blade area ratio over a two blade propeller which will always give you better motoring performance (thrust). Especially in heavy seas/into the wind or current, or motor sailing with the 2nd pitch “Overdrive” function.

The extremely low drag for the Gori 3-blade propellers is the lowest of any fixed, feathering or folding propellers. It will increase sailing speeds and create less turbulence over the rudder. This will enable you to point high and easily steer.

The unique folding design will prevent seaweed etc. from fouling on the propeller. This gives increased speed potential. The geared blade design is very positive. It ensures all the blades open and close together in one
shaft revolution. Allowing peace of mind when maneuvering. Full control with 100% reverse thrust.
